Service was great! Meghan juggled a large table of 14 people next to us and still made us feel important. My choice was the oatmeal with no fruit - the bowl is huge and priced at $4, it was fresh and did not seem to be reheated from the previous day. I also ordered the "not that hungry" which consisted of eggs, hash browns and choice of bread. My over easy eggs were perfect and the hash browns were nicely browned. I chose the biscuit and it was not a typical southern biscuit but tasted homemade. My breakfast was 5 stars. My husband chose chicken and waffles. The chicken was chicken strips in a bland batter and the waffles dry, the presentation was poor for a dish that is famous for being sweet and savory it was very lacking. The bourbon maple syrup was excellent!! It was clean and the atmosphere was lively, liked the decor as well. We plan on trying the lunch menu soon.
I now have to say this place is one of the top five places in the Central Florida area near Lake county. It was great. The appetizers, the beer selection, the sides, and the steaks. I had a burger with sweet potato fries. My wife had a ribeye steak with veggies and mashed potatoes which were all great. The service was great. The ambiance was comfortable. Well worth a try by all means. Prices were on the slightly higher side except for all drinks.
My favorite restaurant in Mount Dora. Whenever we have out-of-town guests, we take them here. I love the garden pasta with marinara and grilled chicken. Another favorite are the brisket quesadillas. Kaden is one of our favorite waiters.
Came for Football Sunday Brunch! Plenty of TVs in the bar area playing the games. The brunch menu had a lot of options, the chicken fried steak, omelet, and steak and eggs were all great. The do carafes of champagne with a flight of juices for $20! Definitely will be back to try lunch/dinner.
This is a cute, new place, with outdoor seating. The food is mostly bar food. That being said, the best thing we had was the lobster roll. With the brisket sandwich a close second. It seemed like small servings at first glance but we left full. The server was very friendly and helpful.
